ACTING 101 FOR IMPROVISERS!

Description

Level up your acting skills in "Acting 101 for Improvisors". In this class, students will learn the basics of acting and how to apply them to their improv scenes. Everyone will work on a scene, memorize it with a scene partner, rehearse it outside of class, and then perform/rehearse it in front of the class. They will work through the scene in class to strengthen their commitment to their characters, environment, and the circumstances of the scene. In the last half of class, we will switch gears to practicing improv scenes using the acting tools learned from our acting scene work. Ultimately, we’ll learn that staying committed in improv scenes creates richer and funnier scenes that the audience will find relatable and get on board with quickly. This class is perfect for the student that wants to improve their improv by throwing themselves into characters with passion and perspective. Yay acting and improv!
