Description
The Slacker is one of improv’s most playful and energetic forms, jumping from one scene to the next in an infinite tag run. In this four-week course, you’ll sharpen your understanding of comedic characters and relationships, learn how earn your way from fact to fiction through tag runs, and discover how to fully explore the weird worlds your ensemble creates. Then showcase your work at The Shared Experience Student Show in front of an enthusiastic, supportive audience! $180 Saturdays from 2pm - 5pm | Oct 18th to Nov 8th Student Show will be on a Friday at 6pm. About The Instructor PJ McCormick is a mixed Filipino and British actor, writer, and comedian based in Los Angeles. He's a regular performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade on the Harold team Lohan, host of UCB’s ONE BIG JAM, an original member of Filipino AF, and performs on the abstract Shared Experience team Bad Baddiés. PJ serves as Chairperson of the Shared Experience Board of Directors and teaches The Shared Experience Drop In every Sunday. PJ began performing on stage at age 15 as professional wrestler Johnny Ender of The Nerdy Boys and is the inaugural tag team champion of River City Wrestling. In college, PJ studied broadcast journalism and created Happy Workshop, a surrealist puppet show built on Buddhist values that aired on North Texas Television. In New York, he worked at The Howard Stern Show as a contributing writer and producer. PJ has appeared in national commercials, most recently Whatsapp, DoorDash and Truth Initiative.
