Description
Come learn the very challenging improvised sitcom form developed by James Mastraieni and Mike McLendon that gives you the opportunity to improvise in the various worlds and styles of sitcoms. Each week we will work to tackle a specific style of sitcom with a very specific format that allows you to combine the heightening of character game with elements of sitcom narrative. This class will ask you to watch specific sitcoms for homework and also to perform Sunday night in the student show. *Completion of a core level curriculum of improv required (ie Improv 401) CLASS LOCATION: The Yard Theater 4319 Melrose Ave Los Angeles, CA 90029 INSTRUCTOR: James Mastraieni STUDENT SHOWS: This workshop includes weekly class shows at the Shared Experience Student Show to try different styles and genres of sitcoms.
